What Are You Striving For?

“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not of more value than they?”
Matthew 6:26 

Did you notice in the above verse how much God values you? In His compassion, the Lord meets out needs. He takes care of our biggest need- a relationship with God. And, He takes care of our temporal needs – the everyday items that help sustain us in life. We are never to worry or fear that God will abandon us or not take care of us. He is a compassionate Father who delights in caring for His children.

There is one key when it comes to our “needs.” We are not to spend all of our energy, time, and affection on meeting our temporal needs and desires. Focus on God’s righteousness – He will take care of everything else.
