“…giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.”
Colossians 1:12 

God answers our prayers by revealing to us what we possess in Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul tells us that we already possess an inheritance. We are rich in Christ now – today. Paul prayed that God would reveal to the believers what we already possessed in Christ.

We shouldn’t pray for what we want, rather, we pray for what we already have in Jesus Christ. The Lord answers our prayers by revealing what we have then utilizes that knowledge to enable us to help the body and grow in His grace.
