Sin is Sin
“They have all turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there
is none who does good, no, not one.” Psalm 14:3
In our politically correct society, nobody wants to use the
word “sin.” Instead, people come up with excuses for wrong behavior or they try
to make the wrong behavior “righteous.” The “experts” continually tell us that
people can’t help what they do. If someone murders another person, it’s because
they grew up in a dysfunctional home. If someone lies and cheats it’s because
they live in poverty.
We live in an age where everyone makes excuses for their
behavior. An abusive husband who verbally and physically manhandles his wife
will blame her for his actions because she “pushed” him into it. A person who
steals will blame his environment and his position in life for the crime. What
excuses do have for your sin?
Thought for the Day: Man calls sin a
weakness, God calls it willfulness.
