“And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.”
Matthew 6:12
John Bunyon says, “Prayer will make a man cease from sin, or
sin will entice a man to cease from prayer.” Sin cuts us off from God. Nothing
hinders the prayers of a believer more than sin in his or her life.
A Christian needs continual cleansing from sin. Even though
the debt of sin is already settled on the cross of Jesus Christ, He died for
our sins and cleansed us, we need to come to repentance and ask God to forgive
us for the sins we commit everyday.
Thought for the Day:
When you come before
the Lord, either as a sinner seeking salvation or a believer seeking daily
cleansing from sin, He hears your confession and repentant attitude and answers
your prayer immediately.
