Attitude is
Everything
“Let this mind in you which was also in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 2:5
Fanny Crosby, a writer of many of our hymns, lived to be
ninety-five years old. She was blind all her life, but what a perspective on
life she had. When she was eight years old, she wrote, “Oh what a happy child I
am although I cannot see, I am determined that in this world, contented I will
be. How many blessings I enjoy that other people don’t; to weep and sigh
because I’m blind I cannot and I won’t.”
On her grave in Bridgeport,
Connecticut, there is a simple
little headstone with her name “Aunt Fanny” and these words: “Blessed
assurance, Jesus is mine. Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine.”
Thought for the Day:
“They could take everything from me except one thing --and that was the attitude with which I chose to respond to the
situation." --Victor
