“But one of the elders said to me, ‘Do not weep. Behold,
the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to
open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.’”
Revelation 5:5

As the apostle John was witnessing the events taking place in heaven, he noticed that no one seemed worthy to take the scroll and open the seals. The significance of who opens the seals is important.

The scroll is the title deed of ownership to planet earth. Only Jesus Christ is found worthy to open the scroll and distribute the judgments of God. When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, they turned the title-deed of earth over to Satan. However, when Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, He bought back the title-deed for God. In the tribulation period He once again takes over the deed to earth! We were bought with a price! Rejoice that God has not only bought you, but that He owns the earth and everything in it. On day soon, He will take over management of the world! What a wonderful day that will be!
