Hang Loose
“For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the
Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.” Romans 14:8
My generation used to use the term “Hang loose!” it was our
way of telling people to relax and just do their thing. No rules and no
restraints. But it’s a satanic philosophy. The “live as you please,” “have what
you want,” “don’t let anyone tell you what to do,” and “it’s your life, you
have a right to live it” mentality comes straight from the veneration of “self”
and the pit of Hell.
On the contrary, the Christian life is a philosophy of
self-denial, self-control, and self-restraint. It’s a mentality that venerates
“others” over “self” and comes from the throne of God.
Thought for the Day: As a Christian, “hang
tight” to the Word of God And “others-centeredness.”
