Choosing Our Friends
Wisely
“Do not be deceived: ‘Evil company corrupts good habits.’”
1 Corinthians 15:33
George Washington said, “Associate yourselves with men of
good quality if you esteem your own reputation: for it is better to be alone
than in bad company.”
It would seem that Washington
based his statement on the above Scripture. Bad company corrupts good behavior.
We cannot be close friends with those who are ungodly and not reflect their
behavior. If you hag out with friends who drink, party, and swear, you will
soon find yourself manifesting similar behaviors. It’s one thing to know and be
friendly with the ungodly, but it’s another thing to embrace them as your
companions.
Thought for the Day: Choose friends with
care; You become what they are.
