A Good Friend
“A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend
who sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24
A good friend is a gift from God. However, in order to find
a good friend, we have to learn to be a good friend. The best way to form a
friendship is to become interested in other people, not by trying to interest
people in you.
When you set out to make yourself liked, you are only
thinking of yourself. Self-absorption is not an ingredient for friendship.
Instead, develop a sincere and genuine interest in other people, and being
liked will follow naturally.
Thought for the Day: The only way to be a
friend Is to be sure you are one.
