The Courage to go on
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the
victory that has overcome the world – our faith.” 1 John 5:4
As a pastor, I have counseled many people through the years.
And, many of these people have faced intense trials, trauma, and heartache.
Sometimes the issues have genuinely tested their faith. We all face dark times
in our life. What do you do when you feel like you can’t go on? 1) Thank God
for the good things. Surrender your life to Him daily and seek His guidance; 2)
Read your Bible. It will sustain you and give you comfort and strength; 3) Seek
opportunities to help those in need. Someone could use your love and care; 4)
Hold fast to your belief in eternal life. Have an eternal perspective.
Thought for the Day: Jesus promised that
you would have peace in the midst of pain, And His strength in the midst of
your weakness.
