“Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the
command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince,
there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; the street shall
be built again, and the wall, even troublesome times.”
Daniel 9:25 

God wanted His people wanted to be prepared for the Messiah. He wanted them to know His Word and to be looking for Him. Yet, at the same time, God talks of the messiah being cut off (Daniel 9:26), not for Himself, but for the good of His people. The verse for today shows the love of God for His people. It also shows that Christ was in the beginning and His life and death on earth were all part of God’s great plan for the redemption of humanity. God revealed this plan to a believing, humble servant-Daniel.

It’s the today as them, God will reveal Himself, His work, and His Word to all those that are humble in heart and believe in Him.
