On the Brink of
Insanity!
“They shall drive you from men, your dwelling shall be with the beasts
of the field, and they shall make you eat grass like oxen.” Daniel 4:25
Have you ever wondered, “What will it take for that person
to repent?” Maybe you have thought that about a friend, a family member, or
even a spouse. Nebuchadnezzar was a proud man. Even though he had witnessed
God’s glory and power time and again, he refused to humble himself and repent.
God went so far as to warn him in a dream that he would go insane if he did not
repent.
Daniel encouraged the king to repent as well, and the Lord
gave Nebuchadnezzar a year to do so. But, to no avail! Nebuchadnezzar went
insane and spent seven years eating grass until he finally repented!
Thought for the Day: Confess the sin of
pride in your life. Humble yourself before God and recognize His supreme rule
in all of your circumstances.
