The Time of His Return

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night,
in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise,
and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth
and the works that are in it will be burned up.”
2 Peter 3:10 

Jesus said that He would come as a thief in the night. The church of Jesus Christ needs to wake up out of its slumber. As we witness the growing immorality, violence, and apostasy of the church, we are reminded that the Lord could return for His church at any moment.

In this new millennium, we need to turn once again to the Word of God. The hope of His return and our eternal destiny is what motivates us to live holy, pure, and fruitful lives. Far too many Christians are living carnal lives – worried about pleasure and the things of this world, and not giving heed to the Word or the Lord’s return. How are you living your life today?
