“And do this, knowing time, that now is high time to awake out of sleep;
For now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.”
Romans 13:11 

Paul is exhorting believers to live a holy life in realization that the Lord will return soon and that we need to be about the Father’s business. I believe that many believers are tempted to live impure or carnal lives because they believe that God is delaying His return. And the temptation may become even more intense since the coming of the new millennium did not see any problems with Y2K.

However, it is important not to be deceived! We are living in the end times, and as Christians, we need to be serious about our walks with the Lord, our purpose in life, and to be busy doing God’s work—living holy lives and spreading the gospel throughout our communities.
