What Does “End Times” Mean to You?

“Now when these things begin to happen,
look up and lift up your heads, because
your redemption draws near.”
Luke 21:28 

When the term “end times” is used, people often think of doomsday cults and fanatical religious sects who predict the day of Christ’s return and await Him at a particular place, designated for their special group alone. Sadly, because of these fringe groups, many people (including Christians) ignore the signs of the times and pass off the end of the world as something only wackos talk about.

I believe this is the greatest deception that Satan has deceived in recent years. There is apathy among God’s people regarding the end times and because of this, spiritual deadness exists in the lives of believers. God’s Word tells us to be alert and to know the signs of the times because they are indicators as to when He will return to the earth. Since we are in the last days, we should be motivated to draw closer to the Lord, share the Gospel with others, and lay aside our worldly burdens.
