Guarding Our Eyes
“But I say to you that whoever looks at a women to lust for her has
already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
Matthew 5:28
We live in a sex-saturated culture. The backdrop of all
sexual immorality is the problem of lust. Lust controls people. It cannot be
satisfied but continually feeds off your flesh – and if you are feeding the
lust of your flesh, you better look out, it will take control!
Today people dress seductively and are very aggressive in
their sexual enticement. God calls us to be holy and to have integrity! Sexual
immorality begins with a look. We need to set a guard over our eyes and be
sensitive of how we present ourselves to other people.
How can flattery and flirting with the opposite sex open a
door to sexual immorality?
Thought for the Day: Job said, “I have
made a covenant with my eyes; why then Should I look upon a
young women?”
-- Job 31:1
