“…Jesus said to her, ‘You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’
for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have
is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.’”
John 4:17-18

The women at the well was blown away by Jesus’ answer. He had totally exposed her life. Not only had He seen her need, He also exposed her sinful lifestyle. You see, this woman had been searching for years – she had been in sexual sin; she had five husbands, and she was living with the man that she was currently seeing. None of these men had satisfied her. I see a lot of people like that today. They bounce from relationship to relationship trying to find that someone that will bring complete satisfaction. However, complete satisfaction comes from God, not another human being.
