Marriage 101
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”
Galatians 5:22-23
It’s important to remember that you can’t be a godly husband
on your own strength and abilities. Just as in our Christian walk, we cannot
live a Christian life on our own. We need to be in close communion with the
Lord, and we need to be filled with His Holy Spirit in order to walk in
Christ’s ways.
If I am in a carnal sate, it will reflect on my attitude and
behavior toward my wife. However, it I am walking with the Lord and desiring to
be a godly husband it will produce the good fruit I desire in my marriage. A
right relationship with God will enable me to see my wife as a gift from God,
fashioned to make me more in the image of Christ.
Thought for the Day: When we treat our
wives as God intended We will see our wives
act towards us in kind.
