No Bigotry Allowed
“He left Judea and departed again to Galilee.
But He needed to go through Samaria. So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar, near the plotof ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.” John 4:3-5
Jesus had a need to go to Samaria because there was a person in need of
the Savior. Nothing happens by accident. And, God will go to great lengths to
reach those in need. There is no discrimination with the Lord. He reaches
across all ethnic and racial lines to bring people to Himself.
In this case, Jesus is going to Samaria, a place considered by the Jews to be
filled with heathens. The Samaritans were looked upon as half-breeds by the
Jews and despised. But the Lord loved the Samaritans and was seeking to bring
to a very needy women who lived in the area.
Thought for the Day: God doesn’t overlook
anything. God loves all people Regardless of race or
ethnicity.
