Love is a decision and an action. Notice, the bible never defines love as an ideal or an emotion, but as a deed or an activity. It refers to the will rather that the emotions. Love is based on obedience to God’s Word not on your feelings or other’s responses.

God didn’t ask us to “feel” like loving but commanded us to think, act and speak in a loving manner through the enablement of the Holy Spirit. Love doesn’t take into account the wrong done to them! Love realizes the best about the person, not the worst. And, love looks out for the interest of others.
