The Ugliness of Coveting

“Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.
Luke 12:15 

The bible has much to say about coveting and laziness. We are each to work for our sustenance and be content with what we have. I have seen people who are on welfare or living off of another’s income, who are immensely greedy. They may not have all the toys but they covet what other people possess. These people refuse to work for their own living but feel others owe them things.

How often have we witnessed people stealing from others! The whole concept of stealing is based on greed and coveting. They want something that someone else has, but do not want to work for it themselves.
