“But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those
Of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
1 Timothy 5:8 

Men are to be the providers of their homes. God has built into the husband a need to work and provide, and the male often connects his worth with his ability to meet the needs of his family. Today, there are few homes where the man is the sole provider. Some of this is due to necessity while others are trying to accommodate a certain lifestyle.

Whether the wife works outside of the home or not, it is still the responsibility of the husband to provide for the needs of the family. The above scripture has a strong message for husbands who do not take care of their wives and family – they have denied the faith and are worse than unbelievers!
