It’s Inevitable…We
Will be Tempted
“Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when
it is full-grown, brings forth death.” James 1:15
Temptation ultimately stirs the evil and selfish desires
within us, and if not resisted, we end up committing sin.
Satan will tempt us through our own fleshly desires, by
whispering lies, and instilling fear, and causing doubt in the life of a
believer. Another element of temptation, that works in conjunction with our
flesh and Satan, is the world’s belief system. Today, through mass media and
films, we are tempted in every area of life. Thanks to Jesus Christ we do not
need to give into temptation. The Lord’s death and resurrection broke Satan’s
power over us as well as breaking the power of sin in our life.
Thought for the Day: The issue of
temptation is important. It is something we can not escape.
