Communication is vital to any relationship.  Most marriages collapse and deteriorate because of a lack of communication.  If there is no dialogue between two people there is coldness and distance.

God wants communion with His people.  He’s a personal God and we can approach Him anytime we want because of what Jesus Christ has done for us.  Through prayer, God pours out His heart to believers, and in turn, we pour out our heart to Him.  Yes, God wants to hear from us.  And, He wants to speak to us in prayer.
