The Reality of
Spiritual Warfare
“But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood the twenty-one days;
and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been
left alone there with the kings of Persia.” Daniel 10:13
Spiritual warfare is real. And, the closer we draw to the
Lord, the more the battle rages around us. In today’s verse, Daniel is
undergoing intense spiritual warfare. He is filled with fear, anguish, and
weariness. Not only is he mentally affected but physically as well. He is
lacking strength, even to stand. However, Daniel turns to God in this spiritual
battle and faithfully continues to pray and fast for three weeks, until God
sends a messenger to strengthen Daniel and explain future events.
Daniel’s persistence in prayer helped bring the heavenly
messenger to him! Are you persistent in your prayer life?
Thought for the Day: Spiritual warfare is
real. By staying in the word and in prayer, You can withstand the assaults of
the enemy Who would like to defeat you through difficult circumstances.
