Something to Look Forward to

“For it we believe that Jesus died and rose again,
even so God will bring Him those who sleep in Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 4:14 

When the apostle Paul wrote this scripture he was reassuring believers that they would be reunited with those who had died in Christ at the rapture. He let them (and us) know that those who are still living at that time will be caught up in the air and will meet the Lord in the clouds along with those Christians who have died.

Paul believed, and clearly taught, that the church would be raptured prior to the Lord’s second coming. And, he spoke of the event as something to look forward to and find hope in. Have you lost a loved one recently? If they were a believer, let this passage comfort your heart. You have a joyous reunion scheduled for the future!
