“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,
for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30 

This is the greatest invitation to come to Christ. Why? It deals with the realities of people’s lives. Prior to knowing Christ, we are bogged down by the burden of sin. We experience severe problems and seek to escape our problems through alcohol, drugs, anger, music, or pleasure. When Jesus gave this invitation, He was saying, “Look, man, you’ve been out in the world for ten, twenty, thirty or more years and you are bogged down with the burdens of sin and the world. I am the only escape. I am the only one who can give you peace because I am the only one who can forgive your sins!”
