“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself
with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine he drank…”
Daniel 1:8 

Daniel and his friends determined to obey God and be faithful to Him prior to their difficult circumstances and temptations. When their trials took shape, they were able to stand firm in their convictions. God was with them as they stood strong, and He blessed them with the king’s favor.

Are you standing firm in your faith or is there an area of your life that is filled with compromise? Just as God was in control of Daniel’s circumstances, He is control of yours as well.
