The Importance of
Interceding
“Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the
LORD in ceasing to pray for you, but I will teach you the good and the right
way.” 1 Samuel 12:23
The Lord wants us to intercede for others, but He goes
beyond that; it’s not just a desire but also a commandment of God. In the Old Testament,
the Jewish people desired a king and came to the prophet Samuel with their
complaints and demands. Samuel was making himself accountable to God and to the
people he was facing. He said that if I don’t pray for you and you don’t pray
for me, it is sin! We have a duty to pray for one another!
Thought for the Day: When man works, man
works. When man prays, God
works.
