Burying Guilt “When I kept silent, my bones grew old through my groaning all the day
long.
For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me, My vitality was turned into the
drought of summer.”
Psalm 32:3-4
There are many people who try to cover their guilt with
excuses and deception. Instead of recognizing and admitting their sins, they
choose to cover them up hoping to bury the feelings of guilt. King David tried
to hide his guilt and his sins from the Lord and bore the consequences. He was
emotionally and physically scarred. He was unable to think clearly and lived in
constant turmoil.
What about you? Are you hiding your guilt and sins from the
Lord?
Thought for the Day: “There are two ways
of covering our sins: Man’s way and God’s
way. If you seek to hide them, They will have a
resurrection some time; But if you let the
Lord cover them, neither the devil Nor man will ever be
able to find them again.”
-- D.L. Moody
