There May be Reasons but There is No Excuse

There is an epidemic of lying in our society. Whether it is at home, work, school, or in government, people are lying at an increasing rate. In fact, it is estimated thet as many as 44% of all college students lie (cheat) to pass their exams!

According to Bob Moorhead, author of Counsel Yourself and Others from the Bible, there are seven reasons why people lie: 1) To get their own way; 2) Feelings of inferiority; 3) To be accepted by others; 4) To avoid consequences; 5) To maintain an image they want to project to others; 6) For material gain; 7) Out of habit. No matter what the reason, lying is a sin- one God hates! And He will deal with those who deceive others!
