Somebody Loves You Crusades and Operation Blessing

"World Relief"

FOOD DISTRIBUTION

In seeking to meet the needs of the community, Somebody Loves You Crusades has teamed up with Operation Blessing to feed the hungry.

Supplied with two 48’ refrigerated trailers filled with perishable and non-perishable food, the Crusade team will distribute enough food to supplement the needs of 3,000 families for a week. Each family will receive one perishable and one non-perishable bag of groceries. The Crusade team will be comprised of volunteers from supporting churches.

Operation Blessing has shipped donated produce, canned goods, clothing, building supplies and medical supplies to outreach centers and churches across the country and around the world. They have provided relief after many tragedies. Following are some of the places where they have ministered to the physical needs of people: aid to flood victims in Iowa, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Arkansas; food and clothing for poverty-stricken towns in the Appalachian region; provisions for disaster-stricken areas such as Oklahoma City; relief supplies to victims of hurricane Fran, Marilyn, Opal and Roxanne; and aid to tornado victims in Arkansas and volcano victims in Montserrat, British West Indies.

Operation Blessing world relief efforts have also delivered more than 127 million pounds of food and supplies; provided more than 81 million meals to the needy; driven more than 3.4 million miles; and provided 1.8 million pounds of relief supplies assistance.

Somebody Loves You Crusades is pleased to work with Operation Blessing to feed the hungry in connection with bringing the Gospel to the people.
