Marriage Ministry
The Marriage Ministry is committed to the teaching, promoting and application of the Lord’s principles for Marriage and Family as expressed in His Word. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is our foundation.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it…” (Psalm 127:1).
Marriage Dinner Fellowships:
On the 1st Saturday* of every month, we host potluck dinner fellowships in various homes for married couples to meet for fellowship, dinner and desert. We worship, share in a devotional Bible study related to Marriage and Family, have communion and prayer.
There are 5 Marriage Dinner Fellowship locations:
- Diamond Bar area and Orange County (we call it the 57 Fwy corridor)
- East Foothills (La Verne, Glendora, San Dimas, etc. (the 210 Fwy corridor)
- San Gabriel Valley (Covina’s, Baldwin Park, La Puente, etc.)
- Whittier area (we call it the 605 Fwy corridor)
- Inland Empire
Premarital Classes:
(‘Already Married’ couples are also welcome)
While these classes are designed for engaged couples, married couples are also welcomed. There are 6 weekly classes beginning the 1st Sunday of every even month (i.e. – Feb, Apr, June, etc.) The classes progress ‘from principle to practical’. We begin with teachings on the biblical principles of marriage and family, and then discuss their practical application in everyday living.
We discuss:
- God’s Design for Marriage and Family
- The Role of the Man and the Woman
- Communication and Intimacy
- Conflict Resolution
- Finances
- Etc.
You can sign-up for classes at the Front Office or Information Counter.
Couples Night Out:
Periodically, we will host or coordinate CNO activities (i.e.- group dinner theatre nights, movie nights, family picnics, hikes, sight seeing, etc.
Retreats, Seminars, etc:
Periodically, we will host, coordinate or provide info about upcoming retreats, seminars or events related to marriage and family.
