OUR VISION
Our vision is to fully come alongside a parent’s God given responsibility and blessing taught in Deuteronomy 6:6-9; and to “Train up a child in the way he should go . . .” Proverbs 22:6. It’s a partnership based on the Word of God.
As parents are taught in the main sanctuary under the teaching of Pastor Raul Ries, the children are taught at their own level of understanding (Nehemiah 8:1-3) in each class. Every class room is specifically designed to spiritually reach the heart of a child with opportunities for individual salvation even at a young age.
Included in each lesson are innovative and interactive games, crafts and worship, which help reinforce the week’s lesson and encourage memorization. Teaching the Bible through the eyes of a child is both rich and rewarding, with many lasting and eternal benefits.
As a ministry, we desire to see every child have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We pray that every child will commit their lives to Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9-10, 13). In fact, many children make first time commitments and receive Jesus Christ into their hearts while attending Sunday school services at Calvary Chapel Golden Springs.
During Sunday school, the students development and growth (2 Peter 3:18) continues as they are discipled and equipped to become witnesses to their families and friends. Our prayer, ultimately, is that each child will grow and impact our world for Jesus Christ. After all, children are called to fulfill the great commission found in Matthew 28:18-20.
We have an excellent, available and engaging staff with equipped volunteers and trained leadership. It is our goal to provide the best teaching, with a safe and secure learning environment for our children to grow. Therefore, special attention is given to administrative procedures, which include background checks on all volunteers working with our children.
Our Children’s Ministry Team looks forward to working together with parents to ensure a deeper knowledge and understanding of our fundamental Christian truths, love and faith within their young children’s lives (Ephesians 3:17-19).
