This New Year began with an evil tide of liberality––murder in the worst degree. Intelligent, but foolish, wicked men and women, were seen cheering in the New York State Senate chambers, applauding themselves after passing another spine-chilling change in our already debase abortion laws. The Reproductive Health Act, RHA, was signed into law by New York’s Governor, Andrew Cuomo. New York joined seven other states already committing murder along with D.C.: Alaska, Colorado, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon and Vermont. Shockingly, innocent, helpless babies can be killed in the womb––euthanized––up until birth! Infanticide can be committed even after a baby is born, at the mother’s choice. This is nothing more than a mother’s monstrosity––murder in the worst degree.  The Governor, rejoicing, ordered that a proud pinnacle of pink, blaze bright from New York’s One World Trade Center in the night sky, along with other historical sites. An eerie, new era of darkness crept over the city of New York that night. What has transpired is pure madness––heartless––barbaric!

In America, thought to be a civilized country, infants who are unwanted are born to die. After birth they will be ignored, left to die, or given an injection to end their lives. Imagine them, cold, crying and screaming incessantly for survival, with no aid to be given to them by the medical team. They are completely neglected, not to be wrapped in a warm blanket and given to a nurturing mother to be held or nursed. These newborns receive no comfort––quite the opposite. Humans, if you can call them that, turn a blind eye, and having a cold, seared conscience, kill them. America! Is this the example of ungodliness that we want to celebrate before the entire world? We as a nation can be likened to the idolatrous Egyptians when Pharaoh, with a single command from his lips, ordered the Hebrew midwives to kill all the newborn baby boys. When that failed, he had his people toss the newborns into the depths of the River Nile (Exodus 1:15-22).

I ask you, is our modern infanticide likened to Hitler who exterminated all those he deemed worthless––the Jews and other minorities? Yes, it is! Hitler was a madman, and no one stood against him until it was too late––six million Jews perished. Millions of babies have died––we need to stop this madness. Why should a newborn child be deemed worthless? Each child is made in God’s image; each child has an eternal soul. Thank God for President Trump as he gave the State of the Union address. He made complete sense among the mindless wicked as he stood boldly for righteousness.  Our President spoke these unforgettable words:

“There could be no greater contrast to the beautiful image of a mother holding her infant child than the chilling displays our nation saw in recent days. Law makers in New York cheered with delight upon the passage of legislation that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments from birth.  These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the chance to share their love and their dreams with the world. Then we have the case of the Governor of Virginia who stated he would execute a baby after birth!” The President continued: “Let us work together to build a culture that cherishes innocent life. Let us reaffirm a fundamental truth: all children––born and unborn––are made in the holy image of God.”

Our land is filled with innocent blood, and just as the blood of Abel cried out to God from the ground, so the voices of millions of babies cry out to God from the ground. What did the Lord say to Cain who killed his brother Abel? God said: “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground” (Genesis 4:10). America, what have we done?  Are we not accountable?

In regards to abortion––murder––what should the position of the Christian be? Where is the voice of the Church today? For a start, if you have voted those into office who hold the same diabolical notions, that abortion is a woman’s right, then your hands are full of blood––do not lift them up to God in prayer. Repent! We need to vote righteously––or we are judged just as guilty––guilty––guilty!

We may not be the one to place a needle into a child’s body to end its innocent life, but we place those in office who make such evil laws. It is God who gives life and God who takes it away. If any lawmaker, medical professional, mother or father decides to play God by deciding to take away a human life, then they must expect God to act in such fury and indignation against them. They have broken His Laws––You shall not murder!

Recent headlines show the fruit of such evil laws. New York resident Anthony Hobson fathered a child. He decided to plunge his knife deep into his girlfriend, Jennifer Irigoyen’s abdomen to kill their child. He also repeatedly stabbed her in the throat and torso, killing her. Get this… no charges will be held against him for the murder his baby––none! I believe such murderous laws breed murderous men.

Honestly, people seem more worried about their dogs and cats, more impassioned about the environment, than that of an infant’s life! The Bible tells us: Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute (Proverbs 31:8 NIV). As Christians, are we not called to be a voice for the voiceless? Christians, do not turn a blind eye––do not have a cold conscience––vote righteously and speak up!
